The Sunspace AlumaDeck is a fully aluminum decking system manufactured by Sunspace. Planks are 6 inches wide, available up to 22 feet in length, and span joists up to 32 inches apart. The system uses a self-spacing watertight hollow channel construction that eliminates the need for complex clipping systems. The surface is powder-coated with a non-slip finish. Colors are available in Grey and Sand. AlumaDeck is guaranteed to outlast any wood, membrane, or plastic-based decking product.

Composite decking retains heat significantly in direct sun, making it uncomfortable underfoot during warm NC summers. AlumaDeck stays cool to the touch because aluminum is a thermal conductor rather than a heat-retaining material. Composite also fades under coastal UV intensity and is susceptible to mold and mildew in humid environments.
